Terms of Service

Version 2.0 — Effective February 1, 2026

Read this before using the Service

SentinelGIP is an aggregator and search interface for publicly available open-source intelligence (OSINT) data. We do not generate, validate, certify or own the underlying data. All vessel positions, flight tracks, sanctions records, breach notifications, satellite imagery and AI-generated content originate from third-party providers, open data sources, or public records. By using the Service, You acknowledge full responsibility for how You use, interpret, redistribute and act upon any data obtained through the platform.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between You ("User", "You", "Your") and SentinelGIP ("we", "us", "our", the "Service", the "Platform") regarding access to and use of the website at sentinelgip.com, its sub-domains, APIs, mobile interfaces and any related software (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, logging in, or using any feature of the Service, You confirm that You have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If You do not agree, You must immediately stop using the Service.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if You are at least eighteen (18) years of age, have full legal capacity to enter into a contract under the laws of Your jurisdiction, and are not located in, established in, or a resident of any country, territory or sub-region subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the European Union, the United Nations, the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the United Kingdom HM Treasury, or any other competent authority. You further represent that You are not listed on any consolidated sanctions, denied parties or terrorism watch list. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend or terminate access at our sole discretion to comply with applicable export control, sanctions and anti-money-laundering laws.

2. Nature of the Service — Aggregator of Third-Party OSINT Data

The Service is an information-retrieval and visualisation tool that surfaces, indexes and cross-references data sourced from independent third-party providers and publicly available datasets. We act as a technical intermediary. We do not own, generate, certify, audit or warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, legality or fitness for any particular purpose of any data displayed through the Service.

Categories of third-party data include, without limitation:

  • Maritime tracking (AIS): vessel positions, voyages, MMSI/IMO metadata sourced from public AIS receivers, terrestrial stations and satellite AIS providers.
  • Aerial tracking (ADS-B/Mode-S): flight tracks, callsigns and registrations sourced from crowdsourced and commercial ADS-B feeds.
  • Sanctions screening: consolidated lists published by OFAC (U.S. Treasury), EU Council, UK HMT, UN Security Council and other competent authorities.
  • Breach & exposure data: credential and email exposure indicators obtained from public breach databases and breach-notification partners (e.g. Have I Been Pwned / HIBP).
  • Satellite imagery: Copernicus / Sentinel Hub / CDSE and equivalent open imagery programmes, subject to their respective licences.
  • Public records: corporate registries, government gazettes, court records, regulatory filings and press releases.
  • AI-generated content: summaries, briefs, translations and analyses produced by large-language-model providers integrated via our universal LLM gateway.

Each third-party data source is governed by its own terms of use, attribution requirements and licence. You are solely responsible for ensuring that Your downstream use of any data is compatible with those upstream terms. The display of data through the Service does not constitute a representation that we hold any licence on Your behalf to republish, resell or commercially exploit that data.

3. No Professional Advice — Informational Use Only

The Service is provided for informational, research, journalistic and analytical purposes only. Nothing displayed through the Platform constitutes legal, financial, investment, compliance, navigational, medical or any other form of professional advice. Outputs — including AI-generated briefs, risk scores, sanctions matches, vessel ownership graphs, breach indicators and similar — are indicative only and MUST be independently verified against authoritative primary sources before being relied upon for any decision, regulatory filing, transaction, or legal proceeding. You must consult a qualified attorney or compliance officer in Your jurisdiction before acting on any output of the Service.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, export-control and sanctions regimes, and the laws of Your country of residence) and in good faith. Without limitation, You agree that You will NOT, and You will not permit any third party acting on Your behalf to:

  • Use the Service to stalk, harass, dox, threaten, defame, blackmail, intimidate or otherwise harm any individual, including by aggregating publicly available data to identify, locate or surveil a natural person without lawful basis.
  • Use the Service to facilitate, plan, prepare or carry out any act of violence, terrorism, kidnapping, piracy, military targeting, smuggling, trafficking, or any other criminal offence.
  • Use breach / credential exposure data to attempt unauthorised access to any account, system or network, to commit credential stuffing, account takeover, identity theft, phishing or any similar offence.
  • Use vessel-tracking or aerial-tracking data for unlawful interdiction, ship spoofing, anti-competitive intelligence, or to circumvent international sanctions.
  • Treat sanctions screening results as a final compliance determination; You must run formal screening through licensed compliance vendors and consult counsel.
  • Scrape, mirror, cache, redistribute, sublicense, resell, or build a competing product from data obtained through the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Use any automated agent, bot, scraper, crawler, headless browser or API access pattern that exceeds the rate limits, quotas or technical restrictions imposed by the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, models, prompts or training data of any component of the Service.
  • Probe, scan, penetration-test or attempt to interfere with the integrity, availability or security of the Service or any underlying infrastructure without our prior written authorisation.
  • Upload, transmit or process special-category personal data (health, biometric, sexual-orientation, religious, political, trade-union, genetic) or data of minors unless You have a valid lawful basis and have notified us in writing.
  • Violate the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or contractual rights of any third party.
  • Misrepresent Your identity, affiliation, jurisdiction or the purpose of Your queries when creating an account or interacting with the Service or our support team.
  • Use the Service in any jurisdiction or in any manner where such use is restricted or prohibited by local law.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy is a material breach of the Terms and may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of Your account without refund, retention of evidence, and notification of competent law-enforcement and data-protection authorities.

5. Module-Specific Disclaimers

5.1 Maritime (AIS) Module

AIS data is transmitted voluntarily by vessels and is subject to spoofing, gaps and manipulation. Positions, identities and voyages displayed by the Service are estimates and must not be used for safety of navigation, collision avoidance or search-and-rescue operations. Use official charts and IMO-compliant systems for those purposes.

5.2 Aerial (ADS-B / Mode-S) Module

ADS-B tracks are crowdsourced and partial. Many aircraft (military, state, blocked operators, business jets enrolled in privacy programmes) are filtered or absent. The Service must not be used for air-traffic control, separation, navigation or any safety-critical aviation activity.

5.3 Sanctions Screening Module

Sanctions matches are name-similarity indicators. False positives and false negatives are routine. The Service is not a substitute for a licensed compliance programme under OFAC 31 CFR, EU Council Regulations, UN Security Council Resolutions, UK SAMLA or equivalent. You are solely responsible for performing formal screening, recording results and obtaining licences.

5.4 Breach & Exposure Module

Indicators returned by the breach module reference public breach corpora (including data made available by Have I Been Pwned and similar projects). The Service displays metadata only (breach name, date, type of data exposed) and never reveals plaintext credentials. Any attempt to use this information to access an account You do not own is unlawful in most jurisdictions and is strictly prohibited under Section 4 above.

5.5 Satellite Imagery Module

Imagery acquired through Copernicus / Sentinel Hub / CDSE is provided under the Copernicus open-data licence. Higher-resolution commercial imagery, when available, is subject to the originating provider's licence. You are responsible for complying with export-control restrictions that may apply in Your jurisdiction.

5.6 AI / Generative Outputs

AI features rely on third-party large-language-model providers. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, fabricated ("hallucinated") or out-of-date. You must independently verify any AI-generated content before relying on it. AI outputs are not professional advice and do not represent our opinion.

6. Account Registration & Security

Accounts are created through Google OAuth or e-mail registration. You agree to provide accurate and current information, to keep Your credentials confidential, to enable available multi-factor authentication, and to notify us promptly at contact@sentinelgip.comof any suspected compromise. You are fully responsible for any activity carried out under Your account, including unauthorised use, until You notify us. We may, at any time and without liability, suspend or terminate accounts that appear inactive, fraudulent, duplicated, or in breach of these Terms.

7. Credits, Plans & Payment

Access to certain features is metered through a credit system. Monthly plan credits reset on the first day of each billing cycle and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Top-up credits do not expire and are forfeited only upon account termination for cause. Subscription fees are billed in advance, are exclusive of applicable taxes (which You agree to bear), and are processed by our payment partners (e.g. Stripe). A goodwill refund may be granted within seven (7) calendar days following the initial purchase of a paid plan, provided that fewer than 25 % of the corresponding monthly credits have been consumed. No refund will be granted thereafter, nor for top-up purchases, nor in case of termination for breach.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, logos, documentation, original datasets, models, prompts, and aggregated indexes, is the exclusive property of SentinelGIP and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, database-right and other laws. Subject to Your compliance with these Terms, we grant You a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Service for Your internal business or personal research purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You retain ownership of original content (reports, notes, investigations) that You create within the Service and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, back-up and display such content solely as necessary to operate the Service for You.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA, OUTPUTS, REPORTS AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, currentness, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, system integration, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be secure, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components. No oral or written information provided by us or our representatives creates any warranty not expressly stated herein.

Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid by You to us during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred euros (EUR 100).Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmlessSentinelGIP, its affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs of investigation) arising out of or relating to (i) Your use of or reliance on the Service or any data obtained through it, (ii) Your breach of these Terms or any applicable law, (iii) Your violation of the rights of any third party (including privacy, publicity and intellectual-property rights), or (iv) any content, query or instruction You submit to the Service. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by You, in which case You will cooperate fully in asserting any available defences.

12. Export Controls & Sanctions Compliance

The Service, including its underlying software and data, may be subject to EU Regulation 2021/821 (Dual-Use), French Code des Douanes, U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and similar export-control regimes. You represent and warrant that You will not export, re-export, transfer or make the Service available to any person or in any country in violation of such laws. You further confirm that You are not the subject of any sanctions measure and that You will not use the Service to facilitate transactions involving any sanctioned person, entity, vessel, aircraft or jurisdiction.

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate Your access to all or part of the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that You have breached these Terms, that Your continued use poses a security, legal or reputational risk, or that termination is required to comply with applicable law. Upon termination, Your right to use the Service ceases immediately and we may delete Your account and associated data subject to our retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy. You may close Your account at any time from Your account settings; closure is irrevocable. Sections 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 16 survive termination.

14. Modifications to the Terms or the Service

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by e-mail to the address associated with Your account and/or by a banner on the Service at least fifteen (15) days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may also modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, including by adjusting credit costs, quotas or model providers, without liability to You.

Subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules in Your country of residence, the courts of Paris, Franceshall have exclusive jurisdiction. If You are a consumer resident in the European Union, You may also bring proceedings before the competent court of Your domicile.

16. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific addendum, constitute the entire agreement between You and us regarding the Service.
